Miles Streetscape, visual and enchanting. Revitalised in 2022, Miles has had a major makeover. Stoll down the main street of Miles explore and find the artefacts placed around town.
Drop in and visit Claudia at “Dogwood Crossing” which is only a short 100 metres away. Dogwood Crossing boasts a beautiful art gallery which features some fine local talent along with national exhibitions. A must to see. Also, to be found in the centre, is a wide-ranging library, along with state of the art technology including several internet connected computers for public use.
Miles is known for its beautiful spring wildflowers. Start off your Miles and Gurulmundi wildflower tour at Dogwood Crossing in Miles, taking the Dogwood Creek Walking Track to see its abundant flora and fauna, then head towards Gurulmundi for its bountiful wildflowers. Continue on to the Sibelco Bentonite mine and the nearby Y road intersection (follow the wildflower sign) where you’ll be able to admire the local wildflowers and read up on their varieties. The tour continues on if you wish to keep following along!
A must for all is the widely beloved Miles Historical Village.
The Village is a step back in time, made up of historical buildings, vehicles, and many other artefacts from the Miles area. Ask for a tour, a local will show you around. It is also pet friendly.
